Toowoomba is located in the southeast inland of the State of Queensland, positioned on the Great Dividing Range.
Toowoomba is approximately 700 metres above sea level and as such see's quite cool conditions through the winter months.
Night time temperatures occasionally drop below zero degrees Celsius, with a record low minimum of -2 in the winter months.
In contrast, summers can be quite hot.
The highest recorded maximum temperature at the airport weather site is 37.7 degrees in January 2001.
